Culture Cafe - Let's Get Social!

This Culture Café was hosted by Circus Artspace in collaboration with the Highland Culture Collective. It focussed on artists’ socially engaged and participatory practices, and how we can work creatively and collaboratively with communities in the Highlands.

The event coincided with the UHI’s Art and Social Practice MA Winter School in Inverness as well as Circus Artspace exhibitions CIANALAS and TERRAFABULATIONS  by our Graduate Associates (29 March - 2 April). The evening focussed on artists working creatively and collaboratively with communities in the Highlands. During the informal event participants had the chance to: 

• see the current exhibitions at Inverness Creative Academy, 

• enjoy a buffet style dinner, 

• meet new people,

• participate in a series of provocations and group discussions around artists’ practices.

Culture Café brings together people who work in the arts who are interested in networking, sharing ideas, developing partnerships and peer support. Read the Culture Cafe Manifesto.

The event was free and fully booked within a day.
