Highland Zine Bothy

From November 2023 to June 2024 we were developing a zine library in collaboration with Iona Gibson from DeZiners.

The idea to have a zine library in the Highlands was sparked when artist Hester Grant organised the Circus Zine Fest back in May 2021 – that's where Circus Artspace and DeZiners formally met, and recognised there was a real need for zine activity in the Highlands.

Thanks to funding from Scotmid Co-op's Community Grant, the Highland Zine Bothy has been brought to life with the aim of celebrating zine activity with our local community by archiving and showcasing zines from the Highlands and beyond. 

We were delighted to launch the Highland Zine Bothy as part of our Highland Pride celebrations on 21st June 2024 and are currently working towards having volunteers and regular opening hours. For now access is by appointment so please drop us an email.
